Most of the students are adult learners with families and jobs. Check collegenavigator.com for the average ages. Class schedules are flexible. The schools have credibility. Additionally and statistically, more than 40% of those who attend college in the United States are those who attend community colleges. Classes are just as flexible. However, credits are valid. Accreditation is Regional and not National. Not get it twisted people, National accreditation is NOT a good thing. Most for-profit post secondary institutions acquire this National accreditation, which does not transfer or count for anything in most if not all regional institutions such as the community colleges. Georgia Perimeter, Atlanta Metropolitan, Gwinnett College, Chattahoochee Technical, Atlanta Technical, etc. I don't know them all. But, do you research. MAJOR EMPLOYERS DO NOT KNOW WHO OR WHAT OMNITECH IS. And those that do, many have had horrible experiences. NO ONE SAID THESE STUDENTS ARE NAIVE OR FOOLISH!!! I would not say that about them. However, I will say if they were more informed, I doubt that they would overpay for an education that is non-transferrable and useless. And...If Omnitech was such a great school, the staff and faculty would want students to be informed and do their research. Do your research! |
2. Written by ??? on February 11, 2012 from livingston, new jersey, US The majority are adult learners with jobs and families who need the flexible schedules and small classes offered by private schools. This does not make them naive or foolish. These students deserve federal loans and grants as much as any other group of students. They also deserve the respect and right to spend them on the school of their choice. Omni Tech is a great school.

4. Written by information on February 11, 2012 from ft. benning, georgia, US Check www.collegenavigator.com people. One of the many sites where you can research tuition costs, graduation rates, career placement rates, student loan default rates of many post secondary institutions. Check out state suported institutions with the same or similar offerings as OTI. A FRACTION of the cost. Resources abound to assist you. Credits that will transfer if you so desire in the futue.
5. Written by telltheWHOLEtruth! on February 11, 2012 from ft. benning, georgia, US Those who are not accepted to a 'traditional' college do NOT have to overpay for a DIPLOMA from a career institution where the credits will not assist them in their future pursuits. Those individuals can go to state support institutions, and pay a fraction of the cost. Received a diploma or a degree from a SACS accredited institution where thecan transfer those credits anywhere in the future. Tell the whole truth. Most of your students are local residents. They do not need universityhousing. What many of them rely on is their student loan refund to live. However, since they attend a overpriced forprofit, their refund amounts are a fraction of what they could be if they attended a state institution. Read, research and investigate people!
6. Written by @how ***is this post on February 11, 2012 from livingston, new jersey, US The fact that a career school offers both job experience and a good education is a major benefit of receiving your degree from a career college or school. Another is the much lower cost. Students can often find a career school in their area that offers classes in the fields they are considering working in. Because of this, the exorbitant costs of room and board often associated with traditional universities can be avoided. Additionally, admission is usually much more open in a career school. This means that those who could not get into a traditional school can still have access to a good education and the tools that are necessary to land a fulfilling and successful career.
7. Written by @Anon on February 11, 2012 from livingston, new jersey, US You need help!!! Why are you concerned with this mans relationship status ? The last time I checked. single, married, widowed, separated were in the same category. Not dating!! Their are many single men that date beautiful women. And call them girlfriends. Mind your own business. I rebuke you!!
8. Written by how *** is this post on February 11, 2012 from ft. benning, georgia, US No one cares about the girlfriend. No one is jealous. I care about the egregisus wrong he is doing to those that cannot help themselves. Those that do not know better. Those that finish those programs in that for-profit post secondary institution and are without employment and then realize that their education and the time spent is worthless. This is about righteousness. This is about caring enough to speak up for those who can't. Not about the car he drives, the girlfriend he has or the money he obtained at the cost and detriment of others.

10. Written by Anonymous on January 7, 2012 from ft. benning, georgia, US Although I typically rebuke Satan, I have to agree with him in this case... The 'Director' as Lester likes to call himself, really doesn't have anything better to do and is hyper concerned about what others think.... U would think that someone that concerned with others opinions, wouldn't treat his own so poorly. Such a sad individual. AMERICA = FREE SPEECH!
